Residential Low Slope Roofing

What is a low-slope roof?

Any area of your roof with a slope less than 4/12 down. This means for a distance of 12 linear feet, your roof would rise less than 4 vertical feet. Low-slope roofs are commonly found on transitions between different areas of your home, like your porch or garage.

Why is low-slope roofing necessary?

Low-slope roofs have difficulty shedding water and are prone to leakage. Special low-slope roofing systems help to prevent leakage caused by water build-up, condensation, and ice dams.

What low-slope roofing solutions do you recommend?

GDH recommends the GAF LIBERTY Low-Slope Membrane Roofing system for residential applications. This low-slope roofing system is available in multiple colors designed to complement the color of your shingles.

EPDM Roofing Systems

EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane. GDH recommends EPDM roofing systems for most large light commercial applications. Our most popular solution is the Royal Edge Single-Ply EPDM System. It is extremely durable, flexible, weather-resistant, low-maintenance, and lightweight.

Low-Slope Cool Roofing Solutions

GDH also offers roofing systems that reflect sunlight and save energy. The Re-Flex EPDM and Re-Flex TPO roofing systems are two popular solutions. They are both white membranes designed to save energy and improve cooling.

Rubber Roof Coatings

Rubber coatings act as a sealant. They are designed to protect your low-slope roof from the elements and increase it’s lifespan. We offer a complete line of rubber roof coatings for light commercial applications. Please contact us to discuss solutions for your application.
